OHL home ...
The Old Hospital Lodge is nestled in the rolling hills and valleys of Northeast Iowa in Highlandville. Located just 13 miles northeast of Decorah, our lodge is the perfect retreat for hunters, fishermen, nature enthusiasts, bikers, hikers, church groups, and groups from nearby Luther College. Each unit has a large bedroom with two queen-size beds, a full bath, kitchen, AC, Dish Network TV, and wireless internet.
For hunters and fishermen, the lodge is just yards from South Bear Creek and not far from North Bear and others. The Iowa DNR stocks these streams weekly from April through October. These streams do not freeze in the winter and many fishermen say, "It's the best trout fishing in Iowa". Hunters can walk or drive from the lodge to wooded state land to hunt deer, turkey, or small game. Fishing and hunting licenses and regulation pamphlets can be obtained across the road at the Highland General Store. The state of Iowa has it all!
